팩션은 8월 13일부터 9월 1일까지 영상, 조각, 설치 등 멀티 미디어 작업을 해 온 작가 이희단 개인전 《𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫》를 개최한다.
전시는 고정적인 시청각 이미지, ‘스테레오타입’을 만들어내는 지배적 미디어의 작동 방식에 대항하기 위해 디지털 플랫폼의 구성 방식, 생성형 AI 이미지, 카메라의 시선 등 주요 미디어를 이루는 현재의 각종 기술을 극단까지 해체하고, 이를 통해 대상화되는 피사체를 향한 시선과 주체성의 인식을 흔들어 낯익은 이미지들이 어떻게 조작 및 소비되는지 드러내고자 한다.
전시 오픈일인 8월 13일(목)부터 매주 목요일 저녁 7시, 전시 기간 중 총 3회의 라이브 세션이 진행된다.
Faction is pleased to present Proxy is my Lover from August 13 to September 1, a solo exhibition by Ridane Lee, who has worked across video, sculpture, and installation. In order to resist the operating logic of dominant media that produce fixed audiovisual images and “stereotypes,” the exhibition dismantles, to their extreme, the current technologies that constitute major media today — including the structures of digital platforms, generative AI imagery, and the camera's gaze. Through this, it seeks to unsettle the gaze directed at the objectified subject and the perception of subjectivity, revealing how familiar images are manipulated and consumed.
Starting on the opening day, August 13 (Thu), a total of three live sessions will take place every Thursday at 7pm.
