Faction will host the exhibition GO-ER from October 2 to October 13, 2024. Three artists will present installations, sculptures, and video works. Exploitation and achievement often cause confusion in contemporary society, blurring the lines of cause and effect. Such confusion may render life as an illusionary sequence without a clear path. Despite this, life is frequently likened to a road, something one must always strive to move forward on. KIL Insu’s work, influenced by natural materials and box patterns, suggests that such a path is endless, with the concept of an end itself being futile. KIM Youngjae metaphorically sharpens the anxiety entangled between achievement and exploitation through sculptures made of hard, sharp materials. SON Lynn questions the boundaries and functions of a "caption" by conducting interviews with various professionals in the art scene. This exhibition invites a reconsideration of a achievement-driven society where people are compelled, both voluntarily and involuntarily, to constantly strive for something.
